We want to help deliver practical projects, give friendly advice and facilitate events. This is on a completely voluntary basis.

|Longfield Community Garden||Longfield Academy wants to develop a community garden on the school site. Some fruit trees were planted in spring 2020 and they have survived the summer so something has started. Also the school has been awarded a grant to develop a garden but progress on this has been delayed because of Covid. Raised beds have now been ordered and a polytunnel is planned. Working groups should start from 12 April 2021.|

|Greening Framland||Some of the parishes in the area have declared their intention to become Eco-churches which commits them to take better care of the planet in several areas of their practice. |Melton in Bloom||has been working for several years to organise a Melton entry to Britain in Bloom an annual flower competition promoted by the RHS. In recent years they have sought to encourage sustainability and to get schools involved.||Facebook link|

|Framland Churches Sustainable Energy Project||The local Deanery has received a grant from the Rural Community Energy Fund to investigate the extent to which churches can be heated in a way that reduces carbon emissions and possibly to be able to export sustainable energy if systems allow.
